DAVID COATS, VICE PRESIDENT

David is a self-professed growth geek, obsessed with creating deep, lasting connections between brands and the audiences they need to succeed. He brings over twenty years of experience growing brands of all stripes, from insurance and financial services to travel and hospitality. He works collaboratively with all of our clients to align their marketing, business, and brands goals with everything Speak No Evil executes on their behalf.

David spent the first part of his career as an award-winning writer and creative director, specializing in helping iconic brands like Motel 6, Jack Daniel’s, and Dave & Buster’s grow and thrive in the digital space. Today, it’s the business results he helps drive for our clients that give him the most pride.

 

DONNIE HOGAN, DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL STRATEGY

Donnie is a proud Texas Longhorn, our resident digital geek, and self-proclaimed Star Wars nerd. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he broke into the field as a UX Designer with strong analytics roots. More recently, he has enjoyed the pleasure of leading holistic digital strategies for several internationally-known brands like Starbucks, Proctor & Gamble, Tetra Pak, Burt's Bees, just to name a few.

Donnie is passionate, some might say obsessed, with consumer behavior in today’s ever-changing digital landscape. He also believes the #1 way for brands to make meaningful connections with their customers is through digitally rich, frictionless and personalized brand experiences that all flow seamlessly through their customer journey.

 

REAGAN MONTGOMERY, CONTENT SPECIALIST

Reagan is a Dallas native and a recent graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in Strategic Communication - go Frogs!

While she was studying at TCU, Reagan had several social media and marketing & advertising internships along with volunteering on campus. We are so excited to have her as part of the Speak No Evil team!

When she’s not working, you can find her at the local Orangetheory, watching Real Housewives, and walking the Katy Trail.

OWEN HANNAY, CEO

Owen started Slingshot in 1995 with an eye towards developing a different kind of Agency, one that's built to take advantage of the exploding media landscape and the increasingly important digital environment. An agency that's balanced across all disciplines, where great ideas can come from everywhere and clients are treated like partners, not just customers. And above all, an agency driven by a culture where open communication, transparency and trust aren't mere words, but a way of life.

In addition to his role at Slingshot, Owen is the President of the Americas for AMIN Worldwide, an alliance of over 50 independent marketing agencies that includes Slingshot. He also serves on the Foundation Board of the UVA Architecture School (where he received his Undergraduate Degree), The Board of the Dallas Gold YPO Chapter and the Board of the Dallas Arboretum.

Owen received an Architecture Degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from SMU. An admitted geek and serial entrepreneur, he has worn many hats, but his favorite two are husband and dad.

KAREN STANON, CFO

Karen has been with Slingshot for over eight years and in that time has proven that her energy puts a spark plug to shame. With over 25 years of financial and accounting experience, from public accounting with a large global firm to advertising agencies of all sizes, Karen definitely has us covered in the money department.

Proud and vocal about being a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Karen shows her Longhorn pride wherever she goes. And it’s no surprise that her first childhood calling was to be a veterinarian – she and her husband are parents to no fewer than five canine companions.
